New Custer Ministries Prayer Blog

Hi Everyone,

This blog has been set up so we can easily share prayer requests with each other and also post what we are hearing through our prayers. Every Monday, I will post a new prayer request for one of our Ministry Partners that we will focus on praying for that week. In addition I will update this blog with any other requests that come in during the week. But this blog should not be just a one way street. The idea is for us to dialog with each other about what God is saying to us during our times of prayer. Also, we want this to be open to any prayer requests that any reader may have. We want this blog to be a chanel of praying in community! It will be exciting to watch this blog be a journal of what God is doing and how He is moving among us. Let the journey begin!

You will find the previous Prayer requests that were sent via email below. Please feel free to post a comment to any entry.

One of the verses that has re-touched my heart of late is in Philippians 4: 6-7. It says; "Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
As I read this I pictured my heart within the confines of a fence. Anxiety, worry, doubt, all those nagging feelings were shut out by the fence of God's protective peace. That's where I want to live; peace within and worry without.
It is a privilege to carry the needs of others before the Father and I pray that each of our hearts will be hemmed in by His incomprehensible peace as we seek to know Him better.
